According to the current report, today, May 18, 2023, a Baloch prisoner who was previously sentenced to death was transferred to the solitary cell of Zahedan Central Prison.
The identity of this prisoner is “Asif Shah Bakhsh”, about 30 years old, the son of Mohammad Omar from Zahedan, who was arrested and sentenced to death in 2013 on charges of murder.
It should be mentioned that this prisoner was previously transferred to the solitary cell of Zahedan Central Prison on December 17, 2023 , in order to execute the death sentence, which was given a few months’ time to Asif through the mediation of Rish Safidan in order to gain the consent of the parents.
It is worth mentioning that from April 9, 2023 to May 18, at least 33 Baloch prisoners, including two women, were executed in 12 prisons in the country.
It should be mentioned that simultaneously with the nationwide protests in the country, the execution of Baloch citizens has increased dramatically, as from August 19, 2023 to May 18, 2023 , at least 137 Baloch citizens have been executed in different prisons of the country. It is the number of people who have been identified that is a concern It has been following human rights activists and organizations.
