Mahrang Baloch met with Ms. Mio Sato, the former Chief Mission of the United Nations Mission

Mahrang Baloch and Sammi Deen Baloch met with Ms. Mio Sato, the former Chief Mission of the United Nations Mission to Pakistan, who is also the Chief Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Pakistan, Mr. Shah Nasir Khan, the UN’s Resident Coordinator officer, and Dr. Mariam Shaikh, a communications advisor in the UN. We informed them about the ongoing human rights abuses in Balochistan, including enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, crackdowns on peaceful marchers advocating for Baloch rights across the country, and threats to protest sit-in participants. They assured us of their support and mentioned that the case would be forwarded to the relevant section of the UN.
