The citizens of Chabahari are concerned about the dangerous project of the methanol transmission pipeline, which is being carried out by the Negin Makran Petrochemical Company and its subsidiary Abnervi Makran with the support of the Ministry of Defense. If the transmission line passes through the residential area, there is a possibility of the death of thousands of citizens.
It should be mentioned that the methanol transmission pipeline is between the two points of Makran Petrochemical Town and Shahid Beheshti Port, which are sought to be established in a non-expert measure in the residential context and urban area, and from places such as Morad Abad, Atash Abad, Mir Abad, Sayed Abad, behind “Bulok Bazar” Sayad Boulevard, Tawheed, Darya Street, etc. pass.
According to current sources: “The distance between the methanol transmission line pipes and the residential area is on average 15 meters, and in some urban areas such as Syed Abad, the distance between the pipeline and the residential area does not even reach one meter. It should be mentioned that methanol is a poisonous substance with high lethality, which causes blindness, kidney failure, coma, and cerebral hemorrhage, etc., which due to the 2.5 meter depth of the pipes in the ground with the smallest problem and leakage thousands of citizens They suffer from the mentioned cases.
Now, the people’s demand from the officials who are implementing this project is to change the route of the pipeline from the urban and residential area due to the dangerous consequences of life and various complications for the citizens.
