UK Parliament event to highlight Human Rights Violations in Balochistan

Human rights violations in Balochistan will be highlighted in the Houses of Parliament in an event hosted by Baroness Natalie Bennett on July 12, 2022, at 6 pm. The event, titled “Baloch Lives Matter,” will be held in committee room 1 of the Parliament House.

In recent months, there has been an upsurge in the cases of enforced disappearances and extra-judicial killings in Balochistan. In this background, distinguished scholars, human rights activists, and political personalities will discuss various aspects of human rights violations and atrocities perpetrated by Pakistani security forces in Balochistan. Among the prominent speakers are Dr Naseer Dashti of Baloch Human Rights Council, Dr Burzine Waghmar of SOAS, Dr Lakhumal Luhana of the World Sindhi Congress, and Peter Tatchell of the Peter Tatchell Foundation.
